Rein Van Bree was born in Belgium in 1984.
She began her musical training in Maaseik where she graduated "cum laude" for recorder, piano and drama.
Afterwards she started private lessons (recorder) with Geert Van Gele. In 2007, she graduated with a Master's degree for Recorder at the Lemmensinstitute in Leuven with Bart Coen en Bart Spanhove.
In 2008 she obtainded her Bachelor for Song with Dina Grossberger and Dirk Snelling. In 2009, she obtained her Master's degree in Chambermusic.
She took part of several masterclasses for recorder with Kees Boeke, Pierre Hamon, Frédéric de Roos, Paul Leenhouts, Erik Van Nevel, Barthold Kuijken, Fumiharu Yoshimine, Maurice Van Lieshout, Pedro Memelsdorff, Marion Verbruggen and Valerie Horst.
Rein played in several operas at ‘Muziektheater Transparant’ and the Flemish Opera.
In 2004, she co-founded the recorder trio ‘Aquil’AlterA’.
She teaches recorder and ensemble at the academies of Oudenaarde, Aarschot, Diest and Kalken.
She sang under the direction of Ottavio Dantone, Kurt Bikkembergs, Louis Devos, Johan Duyck, Bart Van Reyn, Johan Van Bouwelen, Paul Schollaert, Dirk Snellings, Erik Van Nevel, Barthold Kuijken, Hendrik Vanden Abeele, Christoph Siebert, Marnix De Cat and Philippe Herreweghe.
At the moment, she's participating in 2 vocal ensembles: ‘El Grillo’ (Inge Bollaert) and ‘Psallentes Dames’ (under the direction of Hendrik Vanden Abeele).
